We believe it's important to make our voices heard!
Look at this amazing shift in the voting of Wisconsinites from 11/24 to 4/25!
This information is from Chris Hayes, 4/2/2025 following the election of Judge Susan Crawford.
We took action to support Susan Crawford!
This is what Democracy looks like! Thanks to the 280+ who showed up to protest Musk, Schimel, Wied, Kinser and Jacque. Vote for Susan Crawford for Wisconsin and Jill Underly.
On April 1, one of the most important elections in Wisconsin history will determine the ideological balance of the Wisconsin Supreme Court (WSC) and protection of our rights. Wisconsinites have been bombarded with ads and are becoming weary of sex ads, $$$ ads, etc. Your vote and voice are critical. Elect Susan Crawford for Wisconsin Supreme Court and Jill Underly for State Superintendent of Public Schools. What do you say to someone who is questioning who to vote for or may not vote? 36% of the American public did not vote in November.
If conservative control is wrested in this election from the Liberal Majority on the Wisconsin Supreme Court by Brad Schimel, our freedoms will be endangered.
What freedoms and rights need protection from a conservative Supreme Court majority if Brad Schimel is elected? Among others......
Women’s Reproductive Rights: Brad Schimel has been labeled “Mr. Anti-abortion” and was instrumental in overturning Roe v. Wade and commented on the 1849 abortion law saying he is “firmly pro-life” and “the Wisconsin law is valid - there’s nothing in the law to make it invalid.”
Brad Schimel,
Health Care: Wisconsin is one of only 10 states not to accept Medicaid expansion, leaving many Wisconsinites without affordable options. Due to the Republican-controlled Assembly, Wisconsin has REFUSED over $2.1 Billion in health care $$$$. Schimel is not a supporter of affordable health care for Wisconsin residents.
Voter Rights and Election Results: In 2011 Republican lawmakers passed a Voter ID law that is among “the strictest in the nation” according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. Wisconsin is ranked among the 5th hardest state to vote. On April 1, Republicans will try to pass an EVEN MORE restrictive Voter ID Constitutional Amendment. VOTE NO! The liberal Supreme Court has lifted the ballot drop box ban and overturned a Conservative activist’s request for voters’ private information. Voter suppression efforts will continue because the Republican legislature seeks to protect their majority in the Assembly. For this reason, Wisconsin needs to maintain a liberal majority on the Supreme Court to address future challenges to the right to vote. In addition, Republicans has recently sought info from the Department of Transportation to compare citizenship access of registered voters that may come before the Wi Supreme Court.

What freedoms and rights need protection from a conservative Supreme Court majority if Brad Schimel is elected? Among others......
- Women’s Reproductive Rights: 1849 law and Hospital Restrictions
- Health Care: ACA, Medicaid Expansion
- Voter Rights: ID Law, Dropboxes, Disabled Voter accommodations, Voter information
- The Right to a Free and Fair Election
- The Right to Fair Representation: Congressional Redistricting
- Union Rights: Collective Bargaining and Right to Work laws
- Freedom of Speech and Right to Privacy

Brad Schimel,
- In 2012, signed an anti-abortion Wisconsin Right To Life paper stating that if Roe v. Wade was overturned, the1849 abortion law would prohibit all abortions in Wisconsin.
- In 2015, as Wisconsin AG, received $1M from Republican-led Legislature to create a Wisconsin Solicitor General position and appointed anti-abortion rights lawyer Tseytlin, who ultimately was instrumental in the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
- In 2016, appealed a lawsuit against a 2013 GOP bill restricting Wisconsin abortion providers at hospitals and sending it to SCOTUS, costing Wisconsin taxpayers $1.6M. Ultimately, a similar Texas law was overturned and SCOTUS refused to take Schimel’s case.
- In 2017, accepted thousands of $$$ to attend an Alliance Defending Freedom (ADP) conference to discuss a legal strategy to overturn Roe v. Wade and recommend reducing abortion-bans to 15-17 weeks. Later, Rep. Joel Kitchens sponsored a bill to recommend 14 weeks. It is currently at 20 weeks.
- In July 2015, Schimel received a $14 million grant to begin testing 6,000 rape kits . In February 2017, Schimel indicated “a few hundred” had been tested, but days later acknowledged it was “only nine”. Tested rape kits can identify unknown assailants and provide DNA for rape prosecution.
- In 2018, with Texas AG and 17 other states, Schimel filed a lawsuit to overturn the Affordable Care Act which was later dismissed by SCOTUS.
- In 2024, at an Adams County Republican Party, Schimel indicated that there has to be “another bloody revolution” to take back freedom “because the socialists won’t give it up.” I guess he doesn't like Social Security or Medicare either?
Voter Rights and Election Results: In 2011 Republican lawmakers passed a Voter ID law that is among “the strictest in the nation” according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. The Right to a Free and Fair Election and Representation:
- Since 2011, Wisconsin has been one of the most gerrymandered states in the nation. In 2023, the Liberal majority court was finally able to declare Republican-drawn legislative maps unconstitutional.
- In 2015, while Schimel was AG the GOP rewrote Wisconsin’s campaign finance law to double contribution limits to statewide candidates, allow unlimited contributions to political parties and unlimited corporate donations. That year, Scott Walker “caught a break when the Wisconsin Supreme Court, on a party line vote, shut down a criminal investigation of his 2012 recall election campaign.” Who said that the Supreme Court is non-partisan?
- On February 26, 2025, the state GOP filed a brief against Susan Crawford in opposition to her views on legislative maps. Schimel has an alternate view.
- In 2023, ten fake elector Republicans were found guilty of filing false paperwork saying Trump had won, ultimately settling a civil lawsuit. We need a Supreme Court that will protect Election Integrity.
Freedom of Speech and Right to Privacy:
- A new Facebook page I set-up to create “incognito good trouble” was “suspended” by Facebook. I suspect it was due to my Ukraine postings. I have heard from others that the same thing has happened to them. Today, Defense Secretary Hegseth ordered Cyber Command to “Stand Down” on all Russia operations. Censorship will be an important right to uphold. We need the Courts to uphold our rights to Freedom of Speech. Republicans are curtailing them. Don’t be silenced!
- Lastly, this article explains how the Wisconsin Goat Committee has asked counties to submit information on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Activities in Wisconsin. It’s scary when even in Wisconsin there is surveillance encouraged by Republicans. Republican uses GOAT Committee power to probe diversity efforts
Ukraine-we owe them our support
See the website from Ukraine established by President Zelensky: u24.gov.ua/
On Sunday, March 2, a few of us from Door County joined about 200 or more of our fellows in Green Bay to show our support for the struggles the Ukraine has had to endure from the evil Vladimir Putin of Russia. After 3 years supporting Ukraine, we find it appalling that suddenly Trump came into office and is able to change the world order of unity among Democracies.

In Wisconsin, we all know who Vince Lombardi was...
From UpNorthNews 2/22/25
Vince Lombardi, the original DEI defender
You know who supported “DEI” (diversity, equity, and inclusion) long before it was ever an acronym? Vince Lombardi.
The football legend famously created a "prejudice-free culture" in Green Bay:
🖤 When Lombardi took over the Packers in 1959, they had one black player. He immediately added 12 more and hired Emlen Tunnell — the first Black assistant coach in the NFL.
🖤 Lombardi wouldn't let his players frequent any restaurant, bar, or hotel that denied any services to Black people and famously blessed the interracial marriage of defensive lineman Lionel Aldridge and his wife Vicky.
🖤 And he was one of the first coaches in the NFL to offer opportunities to Black players — who had previously been sent to the startup AFL.
“My father was way ahead of his time,” Lombardi’s daughter Susan told ESPN. “He was discriminated against as a dark-skinned Italian American when he was younger, when he felt he was passed up for coaching jobs that he deserved. He felt the pain of discrimination, and so he raised his family to accept everybody — no matter what color they were or whatever their sexual orientation was.”
But Lombardi didn’t “just” accept them; he created opportunities for them — the exact purpose of DEI.
